POSITION:                  Community Outreach Educator

STATUS:                     Full-Time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Education, Human Development Family Studies, or related experience

Demonstrate organizational skills

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Computer experience with Excel, Word, and Zoom programs.

Knowledge and experience working with various technological programs and social media outlets

Experience working with diverse populations

REQUIREMENTS

Completion of state mandated Forty-hour Sexual Assault Counselor Training and Foundational Academy Training

                -Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances

                -Valid PA Driver’s License (travel required)

                -Available to work flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Recruit, schedule, and facilitate volunteer training.

-Schedule volunteer meetings and volunteer special events.

-Prepare and distribute hotline schedule and packets for after hour coverage.

-Schedule volunteers for community outreach, community wide events and office coverage.

-Enhance volunteer training programs by updating and maintaining current information, resource list, current legislation, and changes in laws.

-Record and maintain accurate information in volunteer files.

-Provide hotline monitoring and coverage as needed.

-Present programs and training to professionals and in-services to the community.

-Assist in scheduling and participating in community outreach, community wide events and fundraising.

-Participate in staff meetings and conferences/training.

-Make referrals to other agencies or professionals, if necessary.

-Develop and submit articles for CVC website, Facebook, and other social media avenues.

-Develop and maintain database recording volunteer/outreach/fundraising activities.

-Submit monthly activity report to the Administrative Specialist and reports to Executive Director

-Plan and coordinate yearly SAAM events.

-Organize and maintain agency information on its history and events

-Plan, develop and present teacher, parent and classroom workshops

-Develop and update prevention education and educational awareness programs accordingly

-Present prevention education and educational awareness programs for preschool through 12th grade and post-secondary schools in Fayette County Schools

-Present programs/workshops for teacher in-service days

-Obtain certification and present mandated reporting programs to professionals

-Develop brochures for education and community outreach

-Participate in professional development training opportunities

-Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Executive Director
